How to Insert Videos into Your Newsletter: Tips and Guidance

I am having trouble putting videos into my newsletter- can someone tell me how to do it?

You upload to youtube and then copy/paste the URL into the editor.

But it looks like this is only then seen in the web version of the newsletter. It did not show up in the email.

It shows up in both. Email, however, doesn’t support playing video so it’s deployed as a linked image rather than a playable embed

Hmmm - that kind of sucks 😊 - I don’t know how many people go to the websites

What do you mean? If they click to watch the video, it opens up YouTube. The result is exactly the same across both

There is no link to the video. It only shows up if they click - ' Read Online"

No, that's just a link to gmail, which takes me to my gmail

The first three screenshots are from the email version. The website version has the video. Please help.

You're using an embeded player which is not compatible with email

This is not how videos are supported

All you need to do is take the YouTube URL and paste it directly in the editor and it recognizes it and creates the embed

When I embed a YouTube video in the newsletter, it used to always open directly in YouTube. Now it opens the web version of the email for me. Is there a way to change it back to open in YouTube?

EJ W. not sure if you’ve seen YouTube links opening in the web version too? For me it started a day or two ago.
