Impact of Gated Email Capture on SEO and Google Rankings

Hopefully this is the right place for this, please redirect me if not! Does using the gated email capture impact SEO at all? Last week I noticed my domain was starting to rank in the 2nd or 3rd spot on the first page of Google, and now the homepage isn't listing at all. I haven't made any website changes recently, but I did switch my email capture type to gated about 2 weeks ago. Just curious if that prevents any crawling or indexing.
