Hi, I am trying to find where I can edit the email that is automatically sent after a reader subscribe to the paid plan. They get an automated email but where can I edit this ?

In automation with a trigger based on trigger = "upgraded to any paid tier"

That’s in Automations^ The free one is under General settings

Thanks, to confirm: somehow my setup is already sending a generic email. If i setup an automation then it will replace this generic email automatically? I won't be sending the automation email + the generic email right?

If you set up through automations, you will need to manually pause the “generic” one

So that's my issue, I cant find the generic one under general settings. I can see welcome email, double opt in and so on, but nothing for "after payment" email Thanks for your help, appreciate it

Yes I have those, but what I am looking for is the email they get after they upgrade to a subscription The welcome email here is for when they subscribe to the free tier

Apologies I misread your first post. That isn't sent by beehiiv automatically, you may have something sent by Stripe, but beehiiv doesn't send anything by default.

Are you on a plan with access to automations Kevin T.? You can use automations to achieve this as well.

If he's here/has access to paid subscriptions, he's on a paid plan, and all paid plans have automations.

Yes I have access to automation, I can setup that automated email in it, but I just want to avoid sending 2 different emails

    You can either:

    1. 1.

Send default welcome email to all + automation to send premium welcome.

    2. 2.

Send welcome and premium welcome via automations.

I prefer option 2 because you can add additional criteria to your welcome emails (e.g. dont send the generic welcome if the subscriber subscribes as premium from the get go.
