Is there a way a subscriber can unsubscribe from a free tier but keep the paid?
Thanks š[private user] but not quiteā¦.
Nope, unsubscribing unsubs from all comms what you might do is split comms into a send for free and only send to free and a send only for paid. Otherwise, you can send once but use visibility settings to show premium content alongside free content. Happy to give specific guidance to your use case when I can take a look at your past content
I suppose I can do a survey and then send emails based on segmentsā¦
Like we could do Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday segments. Or all. And then let people choose.
Thinking through the workflow:
weāve improved deliverability options. State whether you want one a few or all (or whatever)
Depending on poll response thereās an automation that assign them tags
thereās a dynamic segment that gets subs in a segment
That segment is then delivered to
What your describing is just Preferences - we have a feature for that, no need to set up these workarounds.
Didnāt know that - let me check it out
Ok in that case the segments need to be: Monday: those that stated Monday and for those that preferences havenāt change (custom field does not exist) Tuesday: same as Monday but for Tuesday Wednesday: same as Monday but for Wednesday Thursday: same as Monday but for Thursday Friday: same as Monday but for Friday All days: those that state all PLUS their preferences havenāt changed PLUS not state one of the days specifically
I would just make segments for
all
Each day
Unchanged
When you send each day, say its Monday, in your post send settings, under segments, you'd select:
unchanged
all
Monday segment
Tuesday:
unchanged
all
tuesday segment
That way you don't have to juggle multiple criteria for each segment and can better see the data from each one
Ok for some reason the {{subscriber_preferences_url}} not working
On a test email. Like it doesnāt click through
Also I tried deleting one preference in case I set it up wrong, and apparently Iām not able to do so. I broke something!
Can I see the link in your post editor?
And also when you send a test email, did you use the 'send as' user? Because I know that testing will not work unless you go through real test.
Ok let me try sending it as a real email
Yes so what you need to do is add the link.
Select that code and then add a link and then use that code once again.
Sorry what do you mean select that code and then add a link
And btw - found a workaround on the preferences - have to make it hidden. Canāt delete
I got it to work as a link. I think what you meant to say was:
copy the merge tag
Highlight some text
Control k
Paste the merge tag
weird, that you are doing all this. it should be very simple.
I tinker and break things
You can do this
so technically something like this
Yup thatās what I did
