If I create a survey for people who are not currently subscribers, will they become subscribers once completing the survey and inputting their email in the form? Going to an event and want to have a way for people attending my talk to complete a survey connected to a QR and onboard them as subscribers via the survey form.
Yes so for non subscriber or non logged in person the first entry point to a survey is the email address.
What I suggest is, those who fill the survey, add then a tag while you are running them into an automation. I assume you will be sending them an email or something.
So what I've done, is added the survey URL to a QR code (Linq), and then I have a segment that automatically updates when someone completes the survey. I have an email slot on the survey to capture that. I just want to make sure that it does add them to my email list once they complete it.
You don't need an email field in the survey form along with other questions.
Have you tried scanning your own survey on a phone that you have not used to open your website?
That way you will experience what your end user will experience
Just tested it. So apparently, the short answer to my question is that people have to be subscribed to complete surveys.
Yup!
That's there first entry point. Which make sense if you think that way
Maybe, idk. It's whatever. Either way, I get their email.
Yup. I think you are good.
