Issues with Beehiiv's Email Open Rate Accuracy

Is it common for Beehiiv to not accurately report open rates? I have friends and family who have opened my newsletter, but Beehiiv shows they didn't open it. I've also seen the opposite - people who didn't open it, but Beehiiv shows they did.
