Tips to Ensure Your Newsletter Emails Avoid Spam Filters

I recently started a brand new newsletter. The first two people I signed up (one from gmail, one from yahoo). The email from gmail went into promotions which is understandable. But the welcome email for yahoo went into spam. How do you tackle this? I was sending emails under the custom beehiiv email domain.
