Is ConvertKit Worth Using Alongside Beehiiv? Share Your Insights!

Is anyone out there using ConvertKit (Kit) in addition to Beehiiv? Is it working? Is it worth the time and money? I’m tired of doing things that don’t work. Any help greatly appreciated.

I think The Charlotte Ledger is. I don't know if anyone from them is on this Slack, but Tony, the editor, is a nice guy who'd probably be willing to chat.

I've never tried it personally, but I have heard its automations are pretty strong.

I keep getting emails from them touting all these features. I just can’t figure out if it’s duplicative of beehiiv features or if it’s something I could add on top of beehiiv. Really just curious at this point.

Interesting. I personally HATE cold sales calls/emails. But I am curious to hear if you wind up checking it out.

They really don’t have anything that we don’t, in fact there’s a number of things that don’t have that we do. Most of their stuff (analytics, customization, subscriptions, ad network, and more) is less developed by comparison

Speaking of analytics, and sorry to hijack this thread with this question, but EJ W. is there an easy way to see what's on the roadmap for building that out more? Right now, the metrics feel pretty basic to me (as a professional email marketer/newsletter operator for the past decade), for example, no Click-To-Open Rate metic, no Bounce metric (that I've seen). I'm curious if there's a plan for implementing those in the future.

Both. But I haven't looked in the analytics report in a few weeks, TBH, so apologies if I'm missing some things.

The Analytics reports are where the most robust data is found compared to the posts view.

Just checked them again and still don't see the metrics I was referencing, though. So curious if they're on the roadmap.

Yeah not sure where you can easily see bounce rates, haven't spotted that before.

I'm interested in this conversation as my company is starting on Beehiiv with our editorial emails after several years of running both editorial and marketing emails on ConvertKit. I would prefer to exclusively be on Beehiiv, but I can't get my head around how we're supposed to run marketing emails off Beehiiv. We are starting a daily editorial newsletter here with its own newsletter brand, but also have a regular need to sell our merchandise, events and membership under our parent brand. How do I do this with separate headers and branding without starting a second newsletter?

We weren't originally built for this purpose (marketing emails alongside an editorial publication), but we're launching the capability to do exactly that next week (Thursday, I believe)
