Exploring Premium Subscription Options for Our Newsletter

We are thinking about launching a premium subscription for our newsletter at $5 a month. I believe there are options here:
- 1.
include premium content in our already free newsletter that is not accessible unless you upgrade
- 2.
issue an entirely different email for premium users with that unique content.
What is better? I would think that marketing the premium content would be better within our current publication vs just having another email go out to them. But we are also wondering if the premium content needs to live only on beehiiv or on our website because they are basically blog articles that we are offering as the premium content. I'd love some input from anyone who has had success with this and knows more than I - which is basically all of you :)
