Importing Newsletter Subscribers: Risks and Best Practices

Hey everyone! I have a newsletter with 100 subs and another (on a different account) with 700, in the same niche. Would it be an issue if I imported the 700 into the new one, or could Behiiv flag it since the emails would be an exact match from another account?

Did the 700 subs opt in the the publication you're importing them into?

No, they opted into the original newsletter but not the new one. Since both are in the same niche, I was wondering if it’s okay to import them or if Behiiv might flag it.

No. You must receive active consent from every subscriber for each publication.

How can I send them a consent? Is it possible through behiiv?

You could include a regular link to the new newsletter or a magic link to the new one and ask users to subscribe if they'd like to receive it.
