Rewarding Referrals: Tracking and Incentivizing Actions in Beehiiv

Referral Milestone Question: Is there an internal way to reward the referrer (Doug) when an individual referree (Joe) moves deeper into the Beehiiv system via action steps/tags and becomes a buyer? Specifically, the referree (Joe) joins the freebie list, so Doug is rewarded. Joe then buys something and Doug gets a bigger reward (for bringing in a buyer). If there's no internal option for tracking & rewarding an individual's action steps... any creative external way to accomplish this? Ultimately, I want to massively reward people for bringing in buyers, not just freebies. I could be grossly overthinking or underthinking this thing. Thank you.

I was looking at the old DollarShaveClub referral program, where someone refers a friend who buys, and they get a free month of product. -- I think it was one-sided, but a double-sided referral would be incredible (give a discounted month, get a free month type of thing). -- They steamrolled to 50,000 referrals per month -- Currently, I'm manually pausing/unpausing a monthly subscription via Spiffy. Glad to hear something is in the works. Can't wait to see how it shakes out.

That's definitely useful. I'm just thinking in terms of incentivizing an already-paying customer to keep spreading the message (but ultimately I think we're saying the same thing).

It's digital courses with 100's of masterclass-type videos (currently hosted on Thinkific). -- I'm wordpress (+Beehiiv incoming) ---> Spiffy Checkout ---> Thinkific -- I'm adding Beehiiv to Spiffy via Make (for paid customers) -- Toying with manually pausing monthly subscriptions based on referrals. That obviously could get ugly if the #s took off. Ultimately, Beehiiv is the priority and I'd be willing to tweak things accordingly. I think even a 1-level deeper tracking on individual status could open an infinite number of doors.
